Wedding Style: A perfect vintage style wedding, with a naked cake and boho floral crown. Photographer: Bon Bon Photography. We got talking and hit it off straight away. I had a boyfriend at the time, but knew instantly I needed to end it…. We then went to find a little off and shouted through the bars that we had just got engaged and he opened it up to sell us a bottle of fizz and we sat on our little balcony overlooking Nice together drinking it. That was last Octoberso we got married pretty quickly — 8 months after. Their Vision We just wanted it to be very relaxed, come as you are, enjoy, laugh, family and friends.

We had quiet a stress before hand because we wanted a small, non-traditional and non-OTT wedding, but because we are both lucky enough to have such big families we ended up having guests, but I hope that we managed to still keep the day relaxed. A big thing for us was music. We spent lo of time preparing playlists, reggae music and happy songs to relax everyone into the party fun.

We found two buskers in a local park in London who were amazing and they came to play! The Location We decided on Derby because it was neutral and inconvenient for everybody! We were worried about how people would navigate round London, older relatives getting on and off the tube, where they would stay, the cost of hotels etc.

Then we found The West Mill and we loved it because it was large enough to fit in the of guests we needed, but still seemed quiet laid back and a bit different. It was also semi central between Sheffield and Reading. We also hired out a big farm near by and about 50 of us stayed there for 3 days, so it made it a great, long 3 day celebration. The Fashion Jon looked so lovely. My dress and outfit were a bit if a disaster actually. I left it too late to pick my wedding dress, as all of the shops said I needed to have ordered it months before.

So I found my fave deer, Catherine Deane and went to her warehouse in London, but I was only able to pick a few things that were in stock. I Married for jo fun do wish I had taken more time to plan this. The Ceremony I loved our ceremony. I walked down the isle to David Bowie, Life on Mars, piano version.

We both read out our own vows, which were promises to each other. Mandy read a poem she had written herself and Roxane read us an Irish blessing. All the front row and the registrar was dancing and singing!

We walked out to Stevie wonder, ed Sealed, Delivered. My auntie Linda did the flowers. My mum and auntie went to the flower market and picked them, I just said wild flowers and that was it, I had no idea what they would be like! It meant a lot to me that she had made them. All of our family and friends collected cut glass vases from the charity shop and we all flower arranged the day before the wedding for the table vases at the farm we were staying at.

As above, we did all of the flower arrangements in our charity shop vases. We made our invitations, the name tags, the menus, the play lists…. Photography Both Jon and I very much enjoyed having Kim as our photographer. The pics I have seen really capture the fun, relaxed love between friends and family. They also capture the fabulous and beautiful structure and atmosphere of the venue. Kim was such great company to be around, very relaxed, so unbelievably friendly to all of the guests and very patient.

We chose Bon Bon photography as we felt the compositions and light captured on other pics we had seen were arty, contemporary and edgy, which we felt reflected our venue. It meant a lot that Kim skyped us twice before the wedding to meet us and get to know us and really took the time to get to know what was important to us.

I feel this is how he managed to capture our personalities and our day so well. Entertainment During the day we had a double bass player and his wife with a tambourine, they played a few reggae and soul songs. We found them in a park in London and asked if we could pay for them to play at our wedding.

At night we had a band called The Sheffield Bootleggerswho were amazing at getting everybody up, with some classics for all ages! David Bowie, Life on Mars- walk down isle- just because David Bowie is amazing and he had died this year, it was my tribute.

Special Moment Saying my vows to Jon. To me I just wanted a big party. It turns out that was my most special and favourite moment. I loved so much telling Jon what he meant to me and making a promise to him in front of all our family and friends. Getting ready with my bridesmaids, bridesman and mum. Words of Advice Remember to enjoy every moment. Every body kept saying that to me, but I consciously stopped and kept reminding myself of it during the day.

It is the best day of your life and so memorable and special, so just love every second!
